We had quite a windy day here on Saturday.
Olivia and I had several errands to run on Saturday and it was a bit windy, to say the least. There was a blinding sand blast going across the road behind our house as we left the compound, so glad we were in a car. It was from the golf course under construction on the other side of the street. We ate a lot of grit as we went in and out of the Dr. office and several stores. I was worried that Mike's plane wouldn't be able to land it was so windy with gusts to 50 mph.
This morning I was opening the blinds in the kitchen (don't always do it) and noticed the table out back was flipped over, moved towards the corner of the yard, and the legs structure had popped off. Glad it didn't break the glass. The umbrella was blown around the corner of the house and down the side of the yard. I also saw a bunch of roof tiles on top of the wall between our house and the next. A chunk of cement was cracked out of our wall but it turned out the tiles are all from the neighbors house. This all happened when we were gone. There is no way we would not have heard the things crashing around. I am just glad the chunks of roof tile didn't hit our windows, as you can see in the photo the wall is not far from the side of the house.
The wall where the cement was knocked out and some tiles and a brick on top of the wall. The table frame popped out. I am amazed the umbrella didn't get snapped in half getting pushed around the corner of the house. You can see in the roof shot where the tiles came off a ridge line.
Love, fondly, sincerely,
zaijian,
Ramona
I cannot believe that glass table didn't break. Thanks for writing about your adventures.
